San Luis Valley Regional Youth Corps

Who We Are

The San Luis Valley Regional Youth Corps, a program of Mountain Trails Youth Ranch is a unique non-profit job training, advocacy and environmental education program which works in cooperation with natural resource agencies throughout South Central Colorado. The SLVRYC provides 16-27 year olds in the region with the opportunity to gain self-awareness, outdoor skills and educationally based environmental training. In the implementation of service learning, the SLVRYC supports the pursuit of further education and employment in the natural resource field. Crew members receive a weekly pay check. Past youth corps participants have been hired by local land use agencies upon completion of a youth corps season, or pursued natural resource credits in college. Whatever your goals are, time spent in the San Luis Valley Regional Youth Corps will help you achieve them.
